Amazed! Called as a new patient and explained I had some upcoming ortho surgeries and wanted to try and get my cleaning before that. BEST FRONT DESK STAFF EVER! I am actually going to reference my experience when coaching my staff and how the receptionist was determine to get me in ASAP and made some calls and got me in NEXT DAY! Dr. Payne eased my anxiety immediately and built trust right away. Entire staff from front to back was Gold star! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Years ago, I followed Dr. Chris to this practice. To this point, the front office staff is reasonable to work with while both the hygienists and dental assistants are social without talking too much. Dr. Chris has a very nice way of balancing his fun, easy-going personality with attention to why I'm there... my teeth!
I love everyone here, the entire office is new and improved. They did a wonderful job on my implant crown, and the dental hygienists are excellent as well.
Both the Dentist and office staff provide high quality service. Responsive, compassionate, accommodating. Overall AWESOME! I have been a patient here since about 1990.

The best staff I ever had the pleasure to meet. Doctor Chris Payne is the best dentist; I have never had any issues with his procedures and he literally fixed every problem I used to have so well that I only need my periodic dental cleaning. I am probably one his first patients. Very highly recommended.

Without a doubt the best dentist I have been to in my entire life and I am almost 62! Dr. Payne CARES about his patients. He goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and happy with the work he has done. I'm glad I'm older than he is because I will be dead by the time he retires! I never want to go to any other dentist in my life. Everyone there is incredibly friendly and caring and the wait time is incredibly short compared to other dentists and doctors I have been through. I cannot more highly recommend Dobson Ranch dental care or Dr. Chris Payne!

Dr. Chris is by far the best Dentist I've ever been to. Though most of us don't view going to the dentist as a pleasant experience I have to say it's always a pleasant experience dealing with the doctor and his staff. I appreciate how they explain everything in detail, the procedures as well as the billing details so there are no surprises. I find the scheduled appointments have minimal waiting and the staff easily communicates with me if there are any scheduling changes...this really minimizes the stress. Highly recommend. Thank you!
I've been coming to this office for 40 years, no joke. I do miss the previous Drs, but Dr Payne is incredible. I always feel like my concerns are taken seriously and I don't feel like he's suggesting unnecessary work.

DR. CHRISTOPHER PAYNE, (it's definitely NOT pain), is a master of "NO PAIN!" The guy is a true pro. And he and his staff are upbeat, friendly and focused on the task at hand. In 75 years of having dental work done accross the country, including 7 different docs here in PHX, Dr Chris is the best.
Dr. Payne is the best dentist I have ever had. I have been a patient of his for nearly 20 years. His staff is always extremely polite and professional. Dr. Payne is great at what he does and he always goes above and beyond when it comes to treating his patients.

I was blown away at how awesome this was. I needed a crown reset and I usually have a lot of anxiety about the dentist made a call. They work me in the morning. Staff was super friendly and super helpful and the dock was very personable, friendly and understanding very calm, relaxing. Intake process was pretty simple and easy love this place they have made a patient for life.

Best service in the industry! A different dental practice left my teeth a hot mess. Desperately trying to find someone to fix everything, I was referred by a friend to Dobson Ranch Dental. Immediately, I felt the customer service was just exceptional. Katie, their front office head, was so kind, efficient, and compassionate. She made the appointment process a breeze! The dental hygiene staff were diligent. Dentist Payne was fantastic. He was able to immediately repair a previous bite issue I had from my prior dental work and got my treatment plan all ready to go. My stress is alleviated now that I found this office. Happy to get everything right again. Dobson Ranch Dental is phenomenal and I’m so happy that I am now in their care.

Visited Dobson Ranch Dental Care on Tuesday of this week 8/16/22 to have tooth pain taken care of. The staff is super friendly and they made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. Dr. Payne was awesome as well from beginning to the end. Explained everything in detail. He also called the day after to ask how I was doing after I had a tooth extraction. Now that's service. I have been coming to this office since 1978. My experience has always been 100percent! There has been changes in Dentist.. Dr Gardner, then Dr Voult and now Mr Payne. No complaints on any of them. Dr Payne has been wonderful with my Twin and myself. He listens! He trys to help in anyway he can. The people there always make us comfortable. I won't go anywhere else ever!! Dr. Payne is fabulous. He’s a very down to earth doctor. He’s comfortable and kind and a great dentist overall.
This place is the best! I called in the morning about pain at one of my tooth and Dr. Chris was able to see me within the hour. The x-ray showed bone loss and I was referred to a periodontist for treatment.
I hope I never need to find a new dentist! Dr Chris and his crew are the absolute best. Kind, patient, GENTLE - all things I didn’t think possible in a dentist and dental office. I have been absolutely terrified of the dentist my entire life. Dr Chris has magical hands and I can barely tell he’s actually working in my mouth. The hygienists are just as gentle and make quick work of my cleanings and the front of the house staff are all just simply wonderful!

First, I have to say that I do not like going to the dentist, but who does? Dr. Chris Payne and his staff always make me feel welcome. I originally called on a day that the office was closed so I called the Emergency number expecting an answering service at best. Dr. Payne answered on the second ring, took the time to talk with me, told me what to do and actually called later that day to make sure I was no longer in pain. I'm from the NY area no one does that! I went in today with no appointment, they found the problem and took care of it. The staff has a way of making you feel as if you're part of the "family" and you're the most important person to them when you're there. You will not find a more compassionate dentist anywhere and I've been to at least six dentists in the ten years I've lived in Arizona! Five Stars x two!

I have been here several times and have had an excellent experience every time. The front desk, the hygienists, and dentist are all extremely kind and personable. I pay out of pocket and they find a way to get me a reasonable rate. I have had several cleanings, nothing more extensive than that but I will definitely continue to return.

A neighborhood dentist with all the tools technology, professionalism and great care anyone could desire. Near the end of June I had a crown put on my tooth. During the repair Dr Payne informed me the decay had been near the root and thus I might encounter sensitivity problems – but we'll see. I did indeed experience some issues but eventually they subsided. However, within last 4 days they arose again, thus necessitating this appointment. One call to Dobson Dental and in less than 24 hours I was in the dentist' chair. In less than 15 minutes Dr Payne completed his evaluation and offered a few potential solutions. Two bottom lines here: 1) I should have obeyed my Mom's instruction to brush my teeth consistently, and 2) Dobson Ranch Dental & Dr. Payne couldn't have done a better job providing me service on this dental issue. Feb 17, 2021 - visited Dobson Ranch Dental for an interim teeth cleaning due to some concerns they spotted three months ago near a tooth implant I have. Met the new dental hygienist, Chris, who did a fine job of cleaning my teeth while explaining various aspects of my current dental hygiene. Before departing the office we scheduled my next cleaning six months out. Great to have an office nearby who does a fine job of helping me take care of my teeth. Nov 10, 2021 - My wife and I have been using Dobson Ranch Dental Care for many years now and, based on our personal experience with Dr. Chris Payne, Katie and the rest of the office staff, we fully intend to continue our relationship with them. Just today I did a brief sit down so tooth #15, which had a root canal at an endodontist last week, could be patched up. With the usual levity & brevity, the appointment went fine and I was on my way. Just try em, you’ll like em.
I. Hate. Dentists. However, no dentist's office had made me feel more at home, more comfortable, and most importantly, more in control of my own dental care plan of action than this team. EVERYONE in the office is exceptionally personable, friendly, and accommodating. They understand that dental work causes anxiety in many people and work to provide any and all information available to alleviate these concerns. If you hate dentists, call this office.
Dr. Payne and staff were exceptional! Beginning with scheduling as a new patient, the front office was kind, attentive, and happy to secure a new patient appointment for me. Hard to believe, but I chose to leave my long time dentist because of thier inability to accommodate an appointment that wasnt 3 months out. Whats hatd to believe is that of all the dentist offices I called to establish myself as a new patient, most of them had a laxidazical approach to covid mitigation, starting with masks not reqiured. I was looking for an office that was doing thier best to keep patients and thier staff as safe as possible, enter DDS Payne in Mesa. From here, my experience only got better. Office was pristinely clean and welcoming. Staff was personable, professional, and engaging. Dr. Payne was kind, patient, calm, and concise...and had this ability to make you feel comfortable and confident. Rebecca, the hygienist was amazing as well, always checking in through out my cleaning. This is dentistry elevated!! This is where you come to feel relaxed and reassured that your comfort is top priority. Its where you come if your history with dental care fills you with anxiety. So thankful I found Dr. Payne!

I have some moderate trauma from 25 years ago from braces and extractions. I cannot recommend Dr Chris and his hygeine team enough for talking me through it with empathy and knowledge. I've also never experienced cleanings this detailed and informative. I have at least 3 more visits coming up (because I've avoided dentists: fillings, maybe a root canal, and a shorter term follow up cleaning), and frankly- it's weird for me- I look forward to them.
We have been patients here for 28 years - have never had a bad experience. Easy to schedule, easy to get to, good staff.

Today, however, I had a new hygienist: Rebecca. And let me tell you: it was GREAT care! She really brought the whole office to a new level. I had an amazing experience here all because of Dr. Chris Payne and his dental assistant. I do not recall her name but she's amazing too! They made sure I was comfortable and not scared. I literally have anxiety when it comes to dental work ever since I was a little girl. But my experience here made me look forward for more and not scared anymore. I couldn't feel any horrible pain at all during my teeth filling work. Dr. Chris Payne needs more than 5 stars as well as his dental assistant. They're amazing and they do such wonderful job. Professional and deserves more than 5 stars. I totally recommend this place. It's very clean and smells good in the waiting couch area haha! They make sure you're comfortable and they treat you like you're part of their family. Front desk lady is so nice, friendly, and very accommodating. All their staff are all very wonderful people. When I arrived in Az I experienced some dental pain. My sister raved about Dobson Ranch Dental office so I tried them out. I was so pleased, I ended up getting all dental work completed, namely a bridge, cleaning, cap and two cavities. They took care of the issues my dentist in Aurora kept avoiding. I told Dr. Payne I may have to travel back to Az for my next cleaning because this is my new dental care team! Many thanks for the care taken with my teeth.

They’re aware of my apprehension and take exceptional care of me and my mouth. The entire staff is great. Dr. Payne has an unfortunate name for a dentist, but he’s terrific. He’s patient and caring. I highly recommend this practice.
Everyone at this dentist's office is incredibly lovely, and I always feel so welcomed when I come in for a checkup. Jessica, the dental hygienist, always remembers little details of my life and Dr Payne always makes me laugh. On my first visit to them, I needed 4 fillings at once but the team was comforting, efficient, and professional - it was as good an experience as getting multiple fillings can be! And since then, my teeth have been healthy. This is not one of those dentist's offices that makes you feel like a terrible person who deserves to be in prison for not flossing. They are welcoming, knowledgeable, kind, caring and friendly. I would highly recommend this team to anyone!

Haven't been to the dentist in 3-4 yrs and was scared to death of feeling the wrath of Dr. Payne but very surprisingly they were so gentle. The hygienist was very mindful of my apprehension and gave me some numbing cream while cleaning my teeth because I am a baby. They are very thorough with their exams and I would definitely recommend them. I got to go back for fillings and already have a game plan with anesthesia making sure I am feeling nothing.
WOW! What a great staff!! This was our first visit. The front office staff was extremely knowledgeable about medical insurance. The dental hygienists were very informative and seemed more knowledgeable than past experiences at other dentists. The dentist himself was super nice and caring. He even put my mind to ease a bit about my 7 year old. Overall EVERYONE was very friendly/welcoming! And the office was VERY clean! Great experience! Especially for being a first time patient and not a fan of dentists in general. We will definitely be going back and would refer anyone and everyone to them.

Dr Chris is a painless dentist. I had a filling today and it feels just like my own tooth. Every person in this office is friendly and concerned about the patinpat comfort. The assistant and dentist were both very caring and patient with me. I was very nervous because of a previous experience with another dentist and they made me feel very at ease. The next day Dr Payne called to make sure everything was ok with my teeth. I always have a great experience when I go here.
My husband and I have been patients here a long time and every appointment is timely, everyone is so kind and respectful and they always take the time to explain issues, treatment plans, etc.

Dr. Payne and the entire team at Dobson Ranch Dental Care impressed me. Everyone I interacted with was genuine, happy to be helping, and doing good, effective work. There were some good surprises vis-a-vis working with my insurance, and one family member's distress elicited a remarkably kind and thoughtful response from Dr. Payne himself. Marvelous all around.

Dr Chris is a truly kind and caring professional and individual. The staff are courteous and efficient. The office is clean and modern with state of the art equipment. For 14 years I was a Dobson Ranch Dental patient. I moved 15 miles away and decided to try a dentist in closer proximity to my new home. Big mistake...after being pitched on getting braces for a very minor misalignment of two lower teeth and other cosmetic procedures I RAN back to Dobson Ranch Dental. I forgot my apt and arrived late. No problem. My hygienist was very efficient and friendly. Dr Payne was professional and informative about my dental issues and his recommendations for dealing with them. Definitely a good start to my Wednesday.
I was taken in right away for my appointment, office is clean, staff is pleasant and welcoming. So I’ve now had several appointments at this office and everyone is always courteous, the office is comfy and inviting. I really don’t mind coming to the dentist at all.
Michelle was amazing, when she took my Xrays. Chris the dentist, really put my mind at ease, he talked to me for a good 30 minutes and explained everything in easy to understand terms. He was really patient, I was very nervous and emotional, but he let me vent and I really appreciate it. Katie at the front desk was very thorough with the costs and I really like that they do oral sedation, as I don't think I could get my work done without it. I'm very excited to get to work and get my teeth fixed 😁

The first was a tooth extraction 😫 I was super scared, but I had confidence because Dr. Chris exudes competency. He made sure I didn’t feel any pain and I got to listen to my music. When you can choose from hundreds of dentists, it doesn’t hurt to go somewhere where you’re treated like a good friend, get a little laugh, good conversation, obvious compassion from everybody, and last, a cute doctor... just saying. Enjoy the Dentist if you gotta do it.
Thorough dental exam. Good cleaning and sensitivity to patients needs for needed deadening for sensitive teeth even though it was just for cleaning. Did not push uneeded work, which I very much appreciated !!! If you were trametized as a child as I was because Novacaine was not used than, this is the office to go to. This was my first visit .

When I was there for my cleaning I met Dr. Chris for the first time. He was great fun. We talked about my ghost stories from when I worked in a mortuary. He is very professional yet very down to earth. This last time I had to have a lot of work done. I was there almost 3 hours. They made me feel relaxed. They were so nice and took great care of me.

I have been going to Dobson Dental for over 30 years, since first coming to the Valley. Started out with Dr. Gardner & stayed with them through all the changes. They are friendly, thorough and genuinely care for their patients. I've always been able to get an appointment in a timely manner, whether routine or emergency basis. My kids grew up going to these dentists. And I've had numerous procedures beyond routine care which have always been professionally done or referred out. Love Dr Payne, new look & new staff!
I was just going in for a simple cleaning. First time I've had the hygienist look to see that I would wait less time having the dentist check me before my cleaning rather than waiting until afterward. Saved time, so I appreciated that. My teeth are clean and I always look forward to going back each 6 months.

The staff was perfectly courteous, the Nurses and the Dentist were highly competent - I wasn't left feeling nervous like I usually am at the dentist. Just be mindful of how you bite down on those blocks while they're taking X-rays.

Dr Chris, Michelle and their team are the absolute BEST. My family and I have been going to this dental office since the 1980s. Back in the 80's I obtained 3 opinions from 3 offices for my own work when originally searching for a dentist in Phoenix. Dobson Ranch Dental was the most conservative and did not try to overcharge me for unnecessary work (as others tried to do). They do excellent dental work and treat you like you are family from the minute you step in the office.

Good dental care goes a long way toward one’s overall health and Dr. Payne and his staff do everything they possibly can to ensure that our dental needs are addressed. With the current need to wear masks and take extra precautions, you can feel completely safe scheduling your dental appointments at this office.I highly recommend this office.

I have healthy teeth and I just require cleaning and monitoring for any issues. This office has never tried to sell me services that are not required. They are honest and do a great job. They communicate effectively using various methods including text. Appointments are always right on time. As far as expertise, I am 100% confident in the dentists that I have seen there. In fact, ALL their staff is professional and very competent. I consider that rare for any organization these days. I very highly recommend this office.

I have gone to Dobson Ranch Dental Care since I was a young child and they have always been wonderful. The staff, hygenists, and doctors have been professional but also remember you so when you go to the office it's a nice experience.
Before, I can even drive away I have to take the time to say Thank you. I have always feared dentist and the hygienist, I mean I get so scared before I go. But, today I found the nicest, kindest, dentist and the hygienist was sweet and caring and she didn't make me feel bad or like I was poor at brushing and flossing. She took the time to show me the proper way and I mean I am almost in tears, with joy not pain . I can't wait to come back to the dentist and see Marci. Thank you, for helping me get over my fears, it has been over 30 years of fear and today I can't wait to come back in October. I will not be looking for excuses to cancel my appointment!! THANK YOU
